The Celebration Lacrosse Club was created by Coach Vickie Harvey, but inspired by a couple of girls who had a desire to play.  

Coach Vickie has been living in Celebration for the past 5 years and has been a Florida resident for 13 years. Mrs. Harvey is originally from New Jersey where she played high school and college field hockey and lacrosse. She continued in both sports by coaching both at Rancocas Valley High School in NJ.  In Celebration,  Coach Harvey coached soccer for Celebration Youth Soccer for 4 years where she also served as a Board member. Mrs. Harvey is currently volunteering as Secretary for the Celebration Parks and Recreation Committee.

Coach Greg comes to us for the Fall 2010 season with an extensive lax playing and coaching background!!!  Coach Greg will assume Head Coach duties come September. 

Greg is from upstate NY (Buffalo) and began playing lacrosse when he was 8.  Having 2 older brothers playing, he was the lucky one that ended up in the goal.  He played 5 years of varsity lacrosse (8th - 12th grade) and 4 years of varsity soccer and basketball, then played Division 3 lacrosse at Clarkson University.  Greg has coached jr. high lacrosse, soccer and basketball.  

Philosophy - Both of our coaches focus on positive personal and athletic development through positive feedback and the learning of strong fundamental skills.  We show no favoritism based on the natural athletic ability of the kids, and will not embrace a "win at all cost" mentality.

*Both Coaches have completed the U.S. Lacrosse Levels 1 and 2 Coaches Training Courses and have current First Aid/CPR certification.

Linesman- Artiste! Kudos to Coach Lou Lambros for lining our field so beautifully for games!!  He is an artist with line paint! Thanks Coach Lou!!! Coach Lou also volunteers for Celebration Youth Soccer as an awesome coach and Board member. 

Fundraising Coordinator- Melanie Moore has offered to help coordinate the Club fundraising efforts! Thank you, thank you Melanie!!! Melanie is a strong supporter of girls athletics and also works as a Parks and Recreation volunteer helping to renovate playgrounds. She is a wonderful role model for the girls as a kind-hearted mom whose strength and determination are admired by us all! :-)
